Often we equate “education” with “school” as in an institution apart from the family. “Schooling” does not necessarily imply an institution. To “home school” is to “teach, instruct, educate, train, discipline,” and, yes, ‘school' your children at home or at the very least, educate them under your instruction and supervision.
If you are a Catholic homeschooler looking to enhance your experience, St. Anthony Catholic Church hosts a classical, Catholic, homeschool co-op. The group meets twice a month on Fridays for nine months.
The homeschool co-op is a PK-12 Catholic classical curriculum for homeschool families. It is Catholic at its core, classical in its approach, family-friendly in its presentation, with subjects that are integrated in the pursuit of beauty, goodness, and truth.
The Pre K-6th grade uses Classically Catholic Memory (ccmemory.com), which is a Catholic home school memory work program, classical in nature, that guides parents and children in mastering challenging and inspiring material in eight subjects: Religion, Latin, History, Science, Math, Timeline, Geography, and Great Words.
