The Church specifically designates the month of November as a time for us to pray for our dearly departed loved ones as well as to consider our own mortality by reflecting on the Four Last Things - Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell.
"Of all prayers, the most meritorious, the most acceptable to God are prayers for the dead, because they imply all the works of charity, both corporal and spiritual." ~ St. Thomas Aquinas
For the commemoration of the faithful departed during the month of November, we invite you to enter the names of your deceased loved ones. These souls will be included in the list placed on the altar of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Praying for the soul of a stranger is an especially charitable act. View the cemetery map on display in the Narthex and adopt a soul! If you have a question about the plot map please contact Judy ([email protected])
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood Of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home and within my own family. Amen.
